Guidelines When It Comes To In-Office Surgical Anesthesia
Some stories have come out that in-office surgery has caused certain complications or even death. Anesthesiologists should maintain safety and quality, even though they may not be in the traditional operating room. Patients must also be aware that not every office-based procedure is the same. This means that every clinic and each health professional are unique and have different Ambulatory Anesthesia skills and knowledge. If you hear that an office-based clinic performed poorly, that does not necessarily mean that all clinics in-office are poor quality and should not be considered.
If you have concerns about going to the hospital but need
anesthesia or surgery, an office-based anesthesia can be a good option. These settings can be
beneficial for both the patient and the doctor. This can help patients quickly regain energy and strength.
