Drug Free Pain Management - Why You Aren't Being Told About It
The reason the system doesn't want to tell you how to
manage your pain without using drugs is obvious. Natural pain management
methods cost relatively little. Some
cases, none. Drugs, on the other side, are
a multi-multibillion-dollar industry that is growing.
International prescription drug spending was more than $643 billion in 2006. This is right, almost 3 years ago, and 2/3 of a trillion. Nearly half of this is in the US. It doesn't even include over-the counter Anesthesia Services medications, which many of us will use regularly due to chronic or occasional pain.
Body
parts!
Chronic pain can affect any part of the body, including
the back, neck, shoulders, neck, knees and wrists as well as the feet, hands,
fingers, head, and shoulder. Drug companies will try to sell you every possible ailment. Analgesics, which are products used to manage pain, come in
all shapes and sizes. The drug industry makes no profit by teaching you how to
avoid using them.
However, the financial costs of taking painkillers are
not the only problem. You could be putting your health at risk if you depend on
painkillers for chronic or occasional pain management. About.com has this to say about analgesics: "The pain
relief analgesics induce either by blocking pain signals reaching the brain or
interfering in the brain's interpretation of these signals. Without producing
anesthesia, loss of consciousness, or both." You feel pain in your back. Okay, let's alter how your brain interprets these signals.
But not so much that you become unconscious. Shocking! It's
shocking! Do you remember ever hearing
their functions described this way?
What
Options Are There?
Here's an idea. You can get a $40 device called 4Pain
from England. It can be placed anywhere on your body. It has been proven to aid
in healing injuries and illnesses. It also increases circulation. You read that right.
"Heal" is not the same as "interfere". It's unlikely that your doctor will tell you, as it is not
in the best interests of any drug company to promote a $40 product that could
keep you from going to the pharmacy.
You can also search online for "natural pain
management" to find some natural options. There are many options,
including herbal compounds and self-reported stress-relieving methods. These may cost a little more than painkillers but will be
cheaper in the long-term.
